How fees work

Plain answers on paying for care, before you book.

  • Insurance we work with

We bill most PPO plans and some others. What a plan pays for chiropractic differs from plan to plan, and a plan may not pay for every service, so we check yours first.

    • Most PPO plans

    • Some employer plans

    • Ask us about yours

  • If you pay yourself

If you pay yourself, your doctor tells you what each part of your visit costs before it happens, and you pay at the visit. The front desk can give you the fee list.

  • Receipts for reimbursement

After a visit we can give you an itemized receipt. If your plan reimburses care outside its network, you send the receipt to the plan, and the plan decides what it pays.

  • An estimate in advance

If you are not using insurance, you have the right to a Good Faith Estimate. We give you a written estimate in advance, before your first visit, and answer your questions about it.

  • Checking your benefits

Before your first visit the front desk checks your benefits and calls you with what they find, including any copay or deductible. You can also ask your plan about chiropractic visits.

  • What the first visit includes

The first visit takes 45 to 60 minutes. Your doctor goes over what care would cost before you agree to any of it.

    • History and exam

    • Options and risks explained

    • X-rays only when medically necessary

To change or cancel a visit, call us as early as you can. Ask the front desk for the practice’s cancellation policy.
